A few of my friends seem to think others would benefit from my journey in life.  So….I promised to start this blog. 

Let me explain why I chose Someday Is Today as my Blog name!  I can’t tell you how many times in my life I’ve said, “I’ll get to it tomorrow, I’m too busy this week, when I feel I’m ready I’ll start, when I  have the money, I’ll start this when life isn’t so crazy, I’ll get to it…someday”.   For years now I have tried to incorporate the new attitude of ‘Someday is TODAY!’  other wise someday NEVER arrives! 

My new recent plunge into making someday today is revamping my health lifestyle.  I hired a personal trainer and had my first session on September 2, 2008!  I plan on logging my journey on this adventure as requested by others.  This is quite a new approach for me as compared to the way I’ve tried to accomplish this in the past.   I’ll be talking more about this in the days & weeks to come.

But first, what the hell does being healthy mean anyway?  Have you ever googled the word healthy?  There are about 189,000,000 results!  How in the blazes am I going to find what’s right for me?!?  We are all individually made.  Each of us is different in how our bodies react to foods, chemicals, physical activity, stress, and emotions.  Believe it or not our beliefs and how our perspective on the subject makes a difference too!

Are  you tired of waiting for things to  just happen?  What are you waiting for?  Make today the day you do something about it! 

This is my journey to a new healthy lifestyle by taking it one step at a time.  I will talk about my visits to the doctor as I have diabetes and other medical conditions that will affect getting healthier!  I will talk about my time with my personal trainer as I learn about nutrition and physical & functional fitness!  I will share my successes, setbacks and struggles.  It will be a wild ride that I’m excited about.

    I am so happy that you are on your journey. I to am on a journey to live a healthier life. I just wanted to drop a note to you and say that IT IS POSSIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can do it. If I can bring high blood sugar down, lower my cholesterol from 305 to 151, and lose 133lbs, you can to. Congratulations on making it to the starting line.

    I’m so thrilled to have found your blog (just added you to my blogroll). I also have diabetes and am really really wanting and hoping to keep it under control with diet and exercise (ie avoid medication and insulin if I can). I really feel optimistic. I also have an AWWESOME trainer who has helped me, and my daughter who is on her own path to being strong and healthy (she is a serious athlete). I am excited to follow your progress and hope that you will keep me company, too.
